Each year, hundreds of children enter the foster care system in Delaware, at an ever increasing rate. Our mission is to raise funds and create opportunities for these children to gain exposure to free events and programs in the creative arts.
Many of the children in foster care have been through unfathomable experiences at a young and pivotal age in their development. Creative expression through art assists children in exploring who they are, who they are becoming and how they see others.
By using art as a means, children can learn about other cultures but also express their own personalities. It is often used to understand differences, diversity and divergence. Art enhances brain function by impacting brain wave patterns, emotions, and the nervous system, and it has been proven that it can also raise serotonin levels. These benefits don't just come from making art, they also occur by experiencing art.
We hope that by providing exposure to free art programs and events, we can facilitate a creative outlet to help inspire and grow the beautiful minds of these children.

Along with the other Directors and Co-Founders, Rick is responsible for developing and executing on the foundation’s strategies, results, and the overall direction of the organization. Together, they work with grantees, sponsors, donors, and partners to further the foundation’s goal of supporting underprivileged children and those with critical illness.
The foundation, which was founded in 2022, hosted its first fundraiser on January 7, 2023, The Art of Giving Gala. The Gala was a huge success and raised significant funds that will be used to create opportunities for foster children to gain exposure and experience the benefits of the creative arts. Rick and his follow directors are focused on building off this initial success to further the foundation’s impact by providing the necessary support and opportunities for children less fortunate and those fighting serious illnesses.
The middle child of three children, Rick grew up in Muskego, Wisconsin. He received his appointment to the United States Naval Academy in 1994 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 1999.
Rick joined Ryan, LLC after graduating and quickly distinguished himself as a leader in the organization. He was accepted into the partnership in 2010. In 2012, Rick left Ryan and joined KPMG, LLP as a principal in the state and local tax practice. Currently, he is KPMG’s US Indirect Tax Practice Leader based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Rick splits his time between Wisconsin and Delaware. He lives with his wife, Amanda, and has six children. Rick was diagnosed with stage three rectal cancer in 2020. He is currently in remission and approaching two years post-treatment. His experience battling cancer has helped further his passion for supporting children that are facing difficult obstacles and challenges.

Amanda Blattner was born and raised in Delaware. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Accounting. She is a CPA and worked at KPMG for 12 years as a Senior Manager before having her youngest child. She then ditched the corporate world to follow her passion and create her own business, Cut + Co.
Amanda and her husband, Rick, are blessed with a beautiful blended family of eight. She has a daughter Gabriella (3), a son Brayden (7), and four amazing step children, Brody (11), Brooklyn (15), Aiden (16) and Brennan (20).
Amanda has always had a passion for giving back, especially to children. This was really amplified when her son, Brayden, was born with a heart condition. Becoming involved in the pediatric heart community and seeing so many children impacted by this incurable and critical illness, drove her to start her nonprofit journey.

Tiffani Mitchell-Jenkinson is a Delaware native who’s passion for entrepreneurship has led her to pursue multiple business endeavors; most notably La Belle Studio, an award-winning beauty studio with two locations in Wilmington and Middletown. Tiffani has won various awards such as top 40 under 40 (Delaware Business Times 2018), Fastest 50 (Delaware Business Times 2019), and the University of Delaware’s WE Hatch Honor Circle (Women’s Entrepreneurship 2023). Tiffani has fostered career pathways for countless women and is a huge advocate for helping females to achieve their professional (and personal) goals.
While these accomplishments are noteworthy, Tiffani’s proudest achievement is becoming a mother to her two daughters (Kai and Zoey) who keep her on her toes and make all of the work worthwhile. Starting out as a single mother opened her heart and eyes in ways she never knew were possible, and is a huge reason why she became passionate for helping the foster children of Delaware. What started out as a toy-drive in 2019 quickly grew and expanded to wanting to make a bigger difference in these children’s lives. Tiffani believes creating opportunities for children to experience the creative arts will ultimately help to heal mental trauma and help grow these children in ways they never knew possible.
